4 images selected for Canada’s Professional Photographers National Image Salon 2026

There are moments in a creative career that quietly mean everything.

This is one of them.

I’m honoured to share that four of my images have been selected for the Professional Photographers of Canada National Image Salon, an annual exhibition that recognizes and celebrates the best of Canadian professional photography.

This year’s exhibition was revealed on April 18, 2026 at Canadian Imaging in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and to have my work included among some of Canada’s top photographers is something I do not take lightly.

This year, I submitted a mix of client work along with a scenic image captured during an anniversary trip to Italy.

What this means for you is simple. You are working with a photographer whose work meets a national standard, not just someone taking nice photos.

What This Recognition Means

The PPOC Image Competition is designed to recognize and celebrate exceptional talent in photography, providing a platform for artists to showcase their creativity and vision.

With submissions spanning a wide range of genres and themes, the competition highlights diverse perspectives and artistic expression from photographers across Canada.

Each image is carefully evaluated by a panel of judges to ensure a fair and rigorous selection process.

When an image is selected, it is not only about technical skill. It is about impact, intention, and the ability to make someone feel something.

More Than Awards, It Is About What You See in Yourself

While I am incredibly grateful for this recognition, what matters most to me is why I create these images in the first place.

The women I photograph often come to me saying things like:

• I am not photogenic
• I will do this after I lose weight
• I have never liked a photo of myself

And yet, those are often the very women who create the most powerful, moving portraits.

Because this experience is not about becoming someone else.

It is about finally seeing yourself the way others already do.

From Personal Vision to National Recognition

The images selected for the National Salon reflect the kind of work I care most about:
